About
My name is Scarlett Bergam. I was born in New York and I am the eldest of seven siblings. I grew up playing internationally competitive squash and volunteering at children's hospitals, growing my love for experiencing different cultures and improving the health of underserved populations. At Brown, I combined those two passions by pursuing Global Health, gaining experiences across Africa, Europe, Asia, and Latin America through work in the private sector, non-governmental organizations, research, clinical shadowing, and education. After graduating with my MPH in 2021, I spent 9 months studying adolescent HIV in South Africa as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar. In my career as a primary care physician, I hope to continue to blend medicine with research and public health.
